JET Program Assistant Language Teacher (2017-2019)

Kobe Board of Education

-Supported elementary and junior high teachers during English education and created activities, presentations, and testing materials.

-Implemented a phonics curriculum for first-year junior high students.

-Assisted and led TEFL training workshops and facilitated group discussion for Japanese teachers of English.

Social Media Manager (2016-2017)

Stoplight Gelato Cafe

-Created the cafe's website as well as all print and digital promotional content.

-Managed all social media channels and built a following of over 1k through authentic, useful, and beautiful content.

Teacher's Assistant (2014-2017)

Virginia Commonwealth University Honors College Freshman Rhetoric

-Led weekly sessions that complemented the classroom curriculum.

-Met with students 1-1 to assist them with their research proposals.

-Assisted Virginian constituents by phone and mail and documented all exchanges via CRM software.

Virginia Coalition for Open Government (VCOG)

-Identified and tracked relevant bills by attending sessions and talking with legislators; wrote status reports for the VCOG.

-Shadowed and assisted legislators, journalists, and lobbyists by assisting with constituent services, social media, and data input.

Mary and Francis Youth Center

-Created curriculum for and co-taught a collaborative STEAM summer camp for twelve 6th-8th graders.

-Applied for a received a grant to host the camp and its final showcase at 1708 Gallery.
